Yearbook Club 2013
This is my first year ever being a Yearbook Coordinator and boy has it been tough work! But thanks to these awesome 5th graders, the 2013 Hobart Yearbook is almost completed.
2D Kitchens
4th grade 2 Dimensional Kitchens in the works. Students create a kitchen based on the essential kitchen appliances and a theme of their choice. Can't wait to add some color to these awesome pieces. Crossing my fingers that we can get some of this work in the Spring Art Show next week.
One Point Perspective
5th grade work in progress. Students are working diligently on their one point perspective landscape pieces. Hoping we can get some of these completed by next weeks spring art showcase!

Community Art Work
These students along with a few others have been selected to share their art work with our community. TJ's Hero Shop has been a great supporter to the Hobart art students in allowing us to display artwork in their facility. Thank you Mike and everyone at TJ's!!
3rd Grade Patterned Giraffes
Work in progress for these cute patterned giraffes. Students love how the vibrant watercolor paints resist the wax crayon!

Will you be my Valentine?
Trying to come up with some Valentine decor for our great school. My 5th grade helpers are the best!!
Alpha Paint
Kinders explored the alphabet and watercolor paint. Seeing double? Nope, just the cutest twins ever!
Yummm
Yumm .. How about some ice cream? 3rd grade students created these delicious ice cream cones. Students stacked ice cream scoops by painting tints and shades of their chose color. So fun!
Indian Corn
On my recent fall trip to Vermont, I came across these baby Indian Corns at a local market and thought how wonderful it would be to use them as a still life. 2nd grade students were amazed that corn is not just yellow! They enjoyed exploring the many colors Indian Corn is made up of.
What are you Thankful for?
1st grade students participated in Senator Zelden's "What are you thankful for?" campaign. Students that participated received a certificate signed by Senator Zelden himself.
These two lovely 5th grade girls also participated in Zeldin's campaign. Both are holding certificates!
5th Grade 'Name Kaleidoscope'
5th grade students worked diligently on their 'Name Kaleidoscopes'! They were excited to create a project that included their names out of block/bubble letters. Students also explored warm and cool colors, shading, blending, and learning how to create a mirrored image. Excellent work 5th graders :)
